The first of the kits created by The Pampered Poupee, this is a stunning creation inspired by a dress by the very talented Sylvia McNeil. The design is The Pampered Poupee's faithful replication of the original shown in Sylvia's book, which used lovely embroidered trim from an antique gown.
This dress features over 110" of beautifully embroidered ruffles and is quite labor intense to embroider when compared to a flat dress with embroidered elements. Ruffles are trimmed in a delicate classy lace from France. Made from a lovely voile fabric, the dress and blouse are wonderful to work with. The ensemble is soft, drapes beautifully and is not prone to fraying. The blouse features eyelet entredeaux at the cuffs and collar.
The pattern for this beautiful ensemble was created exclusively for The Pampered Poupee by the very talented Mary Ann Shandor, whose patterns are known to be one of the best on the market with great fit, authentic heirloom techniques and wonderful instruction and photos.
The pattern as well as all fabric, laces trims and cording are included in this kit. All you need to supply is white thread and a French Fashion who is looking for a stunning new dress. Purse and hat are not included.
Easily modified to either fit the Dollspart resin body and the Gildebrief body, you can easily modify if you have another FF doll in mind to create for. Above, the dress is modeled on the Dollspart body. Head shown is from the Dollspart Davida Dior Huret head mold with painting by Mary Ann Shandor. What a dream!!
