Our lovely Louisa Doleac is proudly making her debut in an exquisite silk ensemble from Cynthia Howe of The Pampered Poupee. The dress is inspired by an authentic antique French doll costume and features princess seam styling and a moderate train. It features a beautiful and fascinating authentic trim from the 1800's. This trim was called "Points" in the 1800's and is referred to today by quilters as "Prarie Points". This beautiful hand made embellishment is the height of elegance and is further accented with your choice of braids, lace or other trimmings. In addition to the gown, a slip and drawers are also included.
Included in the pattern is a sheet of suggestions for alternate trim choices for those who do not want to make the points, or those who want to make a second dress with a totally different look. Also included is a tips and tricks page with the technique used for making the points trim, tips on working with princess seams and instructions for using heirloom sewing techniques. Fabric layout diagrams, and complete instructions are also included.
And most exciting, we are including a fabulous FREE BONUS for you!!!
Included with every pattern is a set of precision laser cut button bases, and padding, so that you can create perfect and exquisite covered buttons quickly and easily.
