Enchantée Ballgown and Wired Crinoline Pattern

Introducing our Enchantée pattern.  Created by Cynthia Howe specifically for use with our Jointed Resin Body, this design is suitable for use with our Barrois, Portrait Jumeau, Doleac or Rohmer heads. 

This pattern allows you to create a stunning 1860's era ballgown.  The silhoutte of this gown is just stunning, created by the long sweeping train of the skirt.  The gown is comprised of three pieces.  The gored ivory taffeta skirt features a hemline ruffle made of layers of delicate silk tulle, banded with taffeta and delicate lace.  The gored overskirt is made of a contrasting silk fabric and has a graceful scalloped hemline which is trimmed in exquitiste silk ribbonwork, dainty lace edging and festooned with lovely floral and silk ribbon sprays.  The bodice is designed in the traditional reception style, featuring a beautifully fitted shape, short puffed sleeves, and a hemline with center front point.  The neckline is wide and open, allowing you the opportunity to add your own spectacular jewelry.  The bodice is trimmed with inset bands of silk tulle in both front and back, as well as ribbon/floral decorations at shoulder seams.  Instructions for a matching aigrette (hair ornament) are also included.

In order to properly support a skirt of this size and length, proper undergarments are a necessity.  You will be thrilled with the bonus undergarments in this pattern.  In addition to lace trimmed drawers and padded bustle, the pattern includes a fabulous wired and ruffled crinoline/petticoat.  With detailed teaching instructions included, you will learn to create the casings and wiring needed to beautifully support the gown and train while creating a beautiful crinoline/petticoat garment with ruffles galore.
