Don't Miss our Complete Fabric Kit for this Pattern!!! (see next listing)
Our Mademoiselle Patience Rohmer is dressed in one of the finest ensemble patterns available as you begin your journey of assembling a trousseau for your latest addition. Cynthia Howe, who has been costuming dolls of all eras for many years has definitely put all of her efforts into making not only an outstanding pattern that is befitting our Patience Rohmer but one that is authentic to the era of our Rohmer.
Inspired by an antique gown, our walking suit features a full underskirt with pleated ruffle made in a beautiful red sateen fabric. The overskirt and jacket are both made from a camel colored wool gaberdine fabric, and are completely lined, and beautifully finished inside and out. The unique pointed hemline of both overskirt and jacket are bound with a black batiste bias trim, and glass buttons trim the center front opening. A double wired headpiece featuring velveteen ribbon and black scalloped trim adds the perfect finishing touch to this stunning ensemble.
As always with Cynthia's patterns, she adds tips and techniques that not only enhance the outfit you are making but also gives you new found knowledge of sewing that you will find invaluable. Full color photos of the completed garment are shown on the front and back cover. Extensive instruction is included, with accompanying photos and diagrams as needed.
We are very glad to offer a fabric kit containing all of the fabrics, and notions needed to create the three piece walking suit, and the wonderful double velvet headpiece. This kit FK119 compliments our Pattern DP119. Please read more about the kit on our website.
