MOHAIR COLOR INFORMATION
We are pleased to provide you with a brief description of each mohair wig color. Since each computer monitor represents colors differently and dye lots vary, the sample colors above are provided as a “guide”. We hope that the above guide and the descriptions below will be of help to you in making your color selection.
Antique Auburn: Lighter and more red than Dark Auburn. A dark, rich strawberry blonde.
Ash Blonde: This is the darkest of the blonde tones. This and Dark Blonde are the color antique blonde mohair wigs often become with age and dust accumulation.
Dark Auburn: A much darker color than Antique Auburn. Similar in darkness to Light Brown, except with auburn undertones.
Dark Blonde: This blonde is a little lighter than Ash Blonde, but darker than Light Blonde. This and Ash Blonde are the color antique blonde mohair wigs often become with age and dust accumulation.
Light Blonde: The lightest of the blonde, but definitely not platinum! This and Yellow Blonde are the blonde color that most antique mohair blonde wigs came in. Most blonde antique wigs on French dolls were this color.
Light Brown: A warm, medium to light brown. Does not have auburn undertones. This is the color most of the antique mohair brown wigs were.
Yellow Blonde: A blonde with definite undertones of a sunny yellow. This color was found on many antique German mohair wigs – especially on the Kestner Daisy doll of 1911.
